Spar wins Marketing Award for RTÉ sponsorship with Donal Skehan

Spar was delighted to take home the award for Most Effective Use of Content on Owned Media Channels at the recent Irish Content Marketing Awards 2020.

Spar won the award for its viewer’s competition that accompanied the group’s sponsorship of Donal’s Super Food in Minutes on RTÉ.

The judges found the winning campaign delivered strong awareness, high levels of viewer engagement, and helped further drive Spar’s association with cooking and ultimately drive sales.

The campaign allowed Spar to leverage the association with Donal Skehan in a way that encourages engagement with the Spar brand.

Launched on Spar’s Youtube page, with over 7 million views, the campaign formed part of a targeted activation and was further executed through Spar’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, as well as on in-store deli and Adtower screens.

The Irish Content Marketing Awards recognise achievements in leveraging the content marketing discipline to drive business and organisational success.
